Pine Loft

Pine Loft North

Read to Players

The road from the south delivers you onto a long dirt main street, well-worn but free of ruts. Green grass lines both sides and the storefronts lean forward on wooden porches that stretch the length of each building — not sidewalks so much as shared fronts, built for neighbors. Two guards patrol the road ahead in worn brown leathers beneath silver breastplates, each marked with the image of a pine atop a fort. A green half-cape hangs from one shoulder to their calves. One carries his silver helmet under his arm. The other keeps hers on. Both wear swords at their hips and move without hurry. The forest begins just beyond the rooftops to the east and west, close enough that you can smell the pine. Pine Loft is older than Beacon and quieter for it.

DM Notes

Pine Loft operates under its own small guard — independent of Beacon's City Watch but generally friendly toward Beacon travelers. The town is governed loosely by a council of elders, not a formal city structure. It is a working town: lumber, trade, and travelers passing through. Crime is low not by enforcement but by familiarity — everyone here knows everyone.

•  Late Night Crossings is the social hub of Pine Loft. If the party needs information, a job, or a bed, that is the place to start.
