Beacon
North Oceanview Run

Read to Players
“Stretching south from Beacon's southernmost gate is a winding road that weaves its way through and over the gently rolling hills. To the west, maybe 150' from the road, a sheer cliff drops hundreds of feet to the rocky waters below where the waves crash against the stone walls of The Valpin. As far as one can see from that cliff, blue water and wide open skies clear to the horizon. To the east of the road is more of what you see to the south, minus the road. Gently rolling hills, soft green, unkept grass dotted here and there with trees, shrubs and bushes and decorated with wildflowers. In the south, at your vision's very limits, stands a green line, a barely visible forest edge that stretches for miles and miles until it leaves your vision completely. This road is regularly patrolled by Beacon's city watch, under the watchful eye of Councilman Christopher Pallo. It is rare these days that bandits or intelligent creatures attack travelers on this road as they've learned the hard way that Beacon will not stand for it. Occasionally, a wild creature of some sort will attack a traveler at night. But North Oceanview Run is considered generally safe to the Way Station and on the southern neighboring town of Pine Loft.”
DM Notes
This road is generally safe to travel and even has a campsite (Way Station) half way to Pine Loft where travelers can stay in numbers to feel safer. Unless your campaign brings a time of war, bandit revolt, lack of City Watch or something of the like, the random encounters should be considered very low.
• The Way Station is one full day's travel on foot from Beacon's southern gate.
