Main Street Intersection

Read to Players

You reach the intersection and the main road opens up — the broad ring road that encircles the core of Beacon. The crowd is thicker here as citizens and visitors alike merge and mingle at this choke point. The cobblestones reach out to your left and your right, and there directly in front of you stands the first inn people see when coming through the South Gate. Hibernations looms before you — a timber-framed building flying blue and gold banners, the sounds of cheerful voices and soft but lively music drifting out from inside.

DM Notes

The intersection is Beacon's busiest foot-traffic point. Everything funnels through here. It is an ideal place to plant rumors, drop hooks, or have a brief encounter feel organic. Strangers bump into strangers here without it needing explanation.

On the corner where the ring road meets the street, a small voice calls out. "Free Room and Board! Tired from your travels? We have rooms for you!" Standing atop a barrel is a boy — maybe ten or eleven years old, wearing a lightly stained white shirt and gray pants with suspenders. A small gray flat cap sits on his head. He holds a rough piece of painted wood above him that reads "Free Rooms" in uneven letters.
